Products for Oily Skincare Routine Under Rs.500? Yes, It’s Possible!
Last Updated on April 2, 2024
I always look for affordable products while shopping for my oily/acne-prone skin. Oily skincare routine requires more attention and is the most troublesome of all skin types.
A slightly viscous consistency and Bam! Breakouts next morning! One has to be super careful in selecting products that hydrate yet keep oil production in check.
I find it difficult at times to find products that help keep my skin non-greasy without making it dry and stretchy. Finding products that fulfil the above criteria without breaking your bank is definitely a challenging but possible task.
And today, I am sharing the best oily skin products under Rs.500 available in the market. All these products have clean and complete ingredient lists and are easily available online.
Affordable Oily Skincare Routine
- Cleansers
There are two types of cleansers I use in my oily skin care routine- powder cleansers and face washes. Powder cleansers are gentler and perfect for the AM routine while facewashes are better suited for the PM routine.
I like Skincare Villa’s Oats and Almond powder cleanser the best. But you can try their other variants too like Lavender, Aloe or Green Tea and Mint Cleanser (next on my list).
For face washes, I am currently using Greenie Mill’s Pink Lotus Facewash which cleanses well while keeping my skin soft and supple post-wash. You can also go for Mom’s Co Vita Rich Facewash or Vilvah’s Honeyfix Facewash.
- Toners
This step is often skipped but I highly recommend using a toner as it will play a crucial role in tightening your pores and preventing acne. I use Witch Hazel Water for its astringent properties. But you can try others like Blend It Raw Neem Hydrosol.
- Moisturizers
Finding a good hydrating moisturizer that keeps your skin moisturised yet non-greasy is the trickiest job for any oily-skinned girl.
I found a perfect match in Soultree’s Tulsi And Sandalwood Moisturizer. It is lightweight, hydrating and keeps my skin shine-free. But I also use plain aloe gel frequently as a substitute which is a cheap option for moisturizer.
Alternatively, you could also use cold-pressed oils if your skin tolerates it well. Check this post to know how to choose an oil for oily skin.
(Pro tip: Mix some aloe gel with the oil to better absorb the oils into the skin and make your face look less shiny).

- Scrubs
I am currently using Ubtan India’s D-Tan scrub which exfoliates gently and helps lighten tan too. Another affordable option for exfoliating oily skin is the Oriental Face scrub from Raw Rituals.
You can even make your own brightening scrub for cheap using orange peel powder and curd.
- Face Mask
One of the best and cheapest face mask options for oily skin is using Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) with rose water. I have been using it since my teenage years and still continue to do so.
You can also use any other clay or blend more than one clay instead of Multani Mitti like Kaolin, Bentonite or Rhassoul clay. Try adding some herbal powders like hibiscus, neem, moringa or even activated charcoal for some anti-acne benefits.
