Finding a good comfortable mineral sunscreen need a lot of trials and errors, especially if you have oily skin like me and live in a humid city. A lot of them tend to leave a white cast or feel greasy. So I picked up the Earth Rhythm Phyto Shield SPF50 Matte Mineral Sunscreen to test it out.
The older Sun fluid from Earth Rhythm worked well for my skin but got discontinued. This is a new launch so I decided to try this one to see how it works. And here is my detailed review.

My Experience Using Earth Rhythm Phyto Shield SPF 50 Matte Mineral Sunscreen:
I carried this sunscreen with Goa right during the heatwave. It was sweltering hot so I got a great opportunity to test out how comfortable it is to wear.
The Earth Rhythm Mineral sunscreen has lotion-like consistency but feels very silky due to the silicone content in it. If you have used silicone-based primers, the texture of this sunscreen is quite similar.
So you can skip primer during the day if you are wearing this Earth Rhythm Phytoshield sunscreen. It spreads very easily and settles into a non-greasy, velvety matte finish which should help your foundation glide smoothly as well. And yes, zero white casts!
Like all silicone-based products, it does make my upper lip sweat. But so far, it hasn’t caused any breakouts on my skin. I wore it outdoors during the heatwave and it felt extremely light and comfortable.
It is water-resistant so stays put even when you are sweating. And reapplication is also easy since it is quite light and easy to blend(check the reel below to see how it blends).
I don’t need a moisturizer under this since I have oily skin. But if you have dry skin, a lightweight moisturizer will help avoid any dryness.
The only thing to keep in mind is to store it in a cool place. After returning from Goa, the sunscreen melted into oil. But it went back to its original consistency once the weather cooled s bit.
Overall the Earth Rhythm sunscreen is great for daily use. It is comfortable, lightweight, and provides adequate broad-spectrum protection. It has only mineral sun filters and doesn’t have any added color or fragrances so even people with sensitive skin will be able to use it.
