My Experience Using Qurez Mattifying Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30:

This mineral sunscreen has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the key sunscreen filters. It has a thick lotion-like consistency but is quite easy to blend into the skin.

Within a  few seconds of blending, the sunscreen settles into a nice matte finish with no visible white cast. So even if you have a darker skin tone, the sunscreen won’t make you look ashy or grey.

I have used it for almost 3 months now and it hasn’t broken me out or caused any irritation. It also doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. Neither does it make my skin sweaty or oily after application.

I can usually skip a moisturiser as my skin is oily. But if you have oily or combination skin, I highly recommend wearing either a moisturizer or at least a hydrating serum underneath the Qurez mineral sunscreen.

As the sunscreen has a mattifying effect, it could accentuate any dry patches on your skin. So for easy blending, keep a buffer of 2-3 minutes at least before and use it on dry skin.

I also recommend waiting until your toner or moisturizer has been absorbed properly. Because blending the sunscreen on damp skin takes a little more time.

I carried this Qurez mineral sunscreen with me during a visit to a theme park. Since I would be out in the sun all day, I wanted to reapply it every 2-3 hours to avoid any possible tanning.

And throughout the day, my skin didn’t feel tacky or greasy. So if you have oily skin, this is a great mineral sunscreen option for you to try out.

It has SPF and provides broad-spectrum protection which is enough for daily use. It also has some humectants like aloe vera, glycerin and allantoin to improve hydration. And Vitamin E boosts sun protection.

The only downside to my positive experience with the sunscreen was its packaging. The neck of the tube broke after a few uses. And several other users also reported the same issue with Qurez sunscreen tubes.

But upon finding out, the brand quickly offered a replacement and assured me they are already working on improving it. So hopefully this issue should no longer be a problem.

Overall, I am extremely pleased to find a lightweight physical sunscreen in India for oily skin with a clean ingredient list and no visible white cast. And that too for an affordable price.  So I would definitely put this on my repurchase list.
