Raw Beauty Margarita Gel Review
Last Updated on April 2, 2024
Oily skin needs moisturizer, but not just any moisturizer. You need a product that is lightweight, non-greasy and helps control oiliness. And the Raw Beauty margarita gel promises to do this and much more.
So decided to try out this beautiful formulation that does the job of serum as well as moisturizer. I started using this last of June and the 30ml bottle lasted just under 2 months. And here is my detailed review.
Product Claims:
Ideal standalone moisturiser for someone with oily skin as it hydrates the skin without leaving any greasiness. Gives skin a matt look & works great as a makeup primer. Works great as an aftershave gel.
Price: Rs. 990 for 30 grams
Shelf life: 6 months
About the Product:
The product comes in a tinted glass jar with a pump dispenser. The gel has a golden yellow tint and a mild natural aroma.
Ingredients:
Organic Vetiver Hydrosol Infused With Organic Green Coffee, Organic Bamboo Water, Organic Blue Agave Ferment, Organic Daisy Flower Extract, Niacinamide 5%, Carrot Root Ferment Filtrate, Fermented Extract Of Green Tea Leaf, Pomegranate & Caffeine, Spectrastat G2N, Caesalpinia Spinosa Gum.
Directions to Use:
Take a pump of the margarita serum and massage it into your face, neck and in a circular motion around the eyes. Follow by a moisturizer if needed and include in your both am/ pm routine.

My Experience Using Raw Beauty Margarita Gel:
Starting off the consistency of this product. The Margarita gel is a water-based serum-cum-moisturizer that spreads easily into the skin. The gel will feel sticky on application but once it gets absorbed(takes about 30 seconds) the stickiness goes away.
Just 1 or 2 pumps are enough to cover my entire face and neck area. Usually, I spritz some hydrosol before applying my moisturizers as it hydrates the skin better that way.
But this gel foams slightly when used on damp skin. So I recommend using it either on a dry face or waiting for a minute after toning your face.
The product page does say it is a toning gel so you won’t miss out on any benefits of toning by using it directly. Once the gel gets absorbed into the skin, it leaves a nice matte finish.

The gel does help hydrate the skin. In fact, if you have oily skin and live in a humid climate, you won’t need to top this off with a moisturizer.
The Raw Beauty Margarita Gel also feels soothing on application and will help calm redness. If you have acne-prone skin, this will not just help soothe your skin but also help reduce oiliness.
One of the key ingredients is 5% Niacinamide(Vitamin B3) which is known to control sebum and reduce irritation. Apart from this, there are various soothing botanicals present like vetiver, coffee, bamboo, green tea, blue agave etc.
I haven’t noticed any significant difference in my PIH as I have been using this up for just under 2 months. I did experience a few whiteheads and had pimples like I usually do due to PMS. But the pimple healed faster and didn’t turn into a pustule, which was a great relief.
So if you have oily, acne-prone skin, this gel might help calm and heal your skin too.
Overall, I am pleased with this moisturizer and will definitely put it on my repurchase list. It is lightweight, soothing and helps balance oiliness, everything an oily skinned person needs from a good moisturizer.
