Juicy Chemistry Damask Rose & Jasmine Organic Dusting Powder Review

Juicy Chemistry gifted me their Damask Rose & Jasmine Organic Dusting Powder during the affiliate week in February. So I have been using this powder for the last 2 months and here is my detailed, unbiased review of it.

Dusting powders are a must-have product to survive Indian summers. And natural talc-free dusting powders are a great option to try if you are a natural skincare aficionado.

Product Claims:

This dusting powder is enriched with floral powders, gentle clays, and root powders to keep the skin dry and cool.

Price: Rs 350 for 35grams

Shelf life: 8 months

About the Product: 

The dusting powder is sold in a cardboard jar with outer packaging. There is a cardboard disc to avoid spillage during transit. The powder is off-white in colour and has a floral fragrance.

Ingredients:

Arrowroot powder, Tapioca Starch, Kaolinite, Rice Powder, Rose Flower, Geranium Essential Oil, Jasmine Essential Oil, Ylang-ylang Essential Oil, Sandalwood Essential Oil.

Directions to Use:

Sprinkle onto dry skin. Spread the product with your hands or a puff. Pay closer attention to neck, back, thighs, underarms and other areas prone to sweat and heat rashes.

My Experience Using Juicy Chemistry Damask Rose & Jasmine Organic Dusting Powder:

I am using this during powder specially for my underarms which tend to have a bad odor after sweating a lot. The texture of this organic powder is not silky like talcum powders since the starch powders are slightly grainy. 

Due to this, there is some wastage of product too as it doesn’t stick easily onto skin. So I sprinkle the powder onto my hand first and then spread it across the skin focusing mainly on the underarms and neck. 

The fragrance is very pleasant and smells mostly of rose. If you like strong-smelling powders, this is definitely not the product for you. But I rather enjoy this mild floral fragrance.

the Juicy Chemsitry dustin powder masks the body odor quite well and absorbs sweat too. I often use this post-exercise to soak up excess sweat and neutralize the odor. (I enjoy using it more this way)

If you work out at the gym, you can carry this bottle around and use it to avoid smelly armpits. The bottle is not exactly spill-proof as the cardboard disc that is supposed to close the sprinkler doesn’t stay in place leading to some spillage inside the cap. But the small size makes it convenient to carry around in your gym bag.

Overall, I am happy with the performance. The powder can be used on your face too but I haven’t tried it out yet.

I find it to be priced expensively for a dusting powder, but there is no doubt about its performance. So if you can afford this, it is definitely a great smelling dusting powder to have in your kit.
