Vilvah Chocomint Lip Balm Review
Last Updated on April 2, 2024
I am a lip balm addict thanks to my forever chapped lips that demand constant moisturization. So this time I picked up two lip balms from Vanity Wagon- The Vilvah Chocomint lip balm and the Juicy Chemistry Blood orange lip balm.
The JC lip balm (reviewed here) performed amazingly well, so this Vilvah lip balm had some tough shoes to fill in. So find out how it performed.
Product Claims:
Natural alternative for petroleum jelly. Enriched with unrefined Shea butter, Vitamin E oil and avocado oil which keeps your lips well moisturized and nourished throughout the day. And they smell great too(Go ahead and lick your lips as much as you want)
Price: Rs. 290 for 15 grams
Shelf life: 10 months
About the Product:
The Vilvah Chocomint Lip Balm comes in a small tin jar with a screw-on lid. It has a chocolate brown color and a strong scent of mint and vanilla. The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly.
Ingredients:
Organic shea butter, avocado oil, almond oil, unrefined beeswax, cocoa powder, vanilla oil, spearmint essential oil.
Directions to Use:
Dab on your lips whenever the lips are dry.
My Experience using Vilvah Chocomint Lip Balm:
The lip balm has a light-weight balmy texture. It melts instantly on contact with the skin and goes on smooth. There is no color tint but it leaves a sheen on my lips for a glossy effect.
While it moisturizes my dry lip well, it doesn’t last long on the lips. Even some light snacking can wipe it off. But the moisturizing effect stays on for a few hours so that’s good.
Coming down to the fragrance. The spearmint scent overpowers vanilla and might bother people with sensitive noses. It also gives a temporary cooling sensation on the lips.
Sometimes I enjoy, sometimes a don’t. All in all, this is a pretty decent lip balm especially due to its affordable price. The 15 gram quantity will easily last 4-6 months.
I didn’t notice any flaking or chapping while using this balm either. So if you need a good affordable lip balm for your lips, check this out. They even have a grapefruit and lemon variant which you can try,
