Juicy Chemistry Saffron, Rose, and Australian Sandalwood Face Scrub Review

Last Updated on April 2, 2024

The first product I ever purchased from Juicy Chemistry was their Avarampoo scrub. I was super excited to try out the brand but it was too gritty for a face scrub. Of course, Juicy Chemistry must have received similar feedback and they went on to launch the Saffron, Rose and Australian Sandalwood Face scrub.

I received this in a PR package they sent out on their 7th anniversary last year and have been using this for a while now. It is much much gentler formulation as the sugar granules have been grounded very finely this time. But does it fulfill its promises? Let’s find out.

Product Claims:

This organic face scrub is made with gentle exfoliating powders that help deep cleanse and unclog the pores to reveal rejuvenated and brighter skin.

My Experience Using Juicy Chemistry Saffron, Rose, and Australian Sandalwood Face Scrub:

The first thing I want to talk about is the heavenly scent. The scrub smells blissful really soothes your mind. Makes you feel you are doing a nice indulging at-home spa facial.

The texture of the scrub is finely milled, with just a little coarseness to slough away dead skin.

You have to be very careful with adding water to it as a few extra drops can completely melt those sugar granules. And they are already quite mild, to begin with.

Once you add water it takes on a beautiful orange hue thanks to the saffron petals. In fact, I like to let it sit for a minute or two to let the saffron infuse in water and release its color.

And then, as mentioned in the usage directions, I apply a thin layer, leave it on for about 3-4 minutes, and then gently scrub it off with wet hands.

This Juicy Chemistry scrub is quite mild so don’t expect it to unclog your pores, especially blackheads.

You will need a BHA serum or toner with this one for deeper exfoliation. But the scrub does get rid of dead skin cells from the top of the skin and makes the skin feel smoother.

And while doing so, it also helps your skin look more radiant thanks to the sandalwood and saffron petals. And top it off, the addition of jojoba, sunflower, and argan oil leaves my skin supple and moisturized.

Overall, I quite enjoyed using this scrub as it feels luxurious and leaves my skin soft and glowing. You could use it to instantly refresh your skin before a special event or get rid of dullness after a long day out.

Final Thoughts on Juicy Chemistry Saffron, Rose and Australian Sandalwood Face Scrub:
