About the Product:

It is a two-sided plastic pen. One side has a slim twist-up pencil while the other side has a sponge applicator with the powder in the cap. The packaging and size are perfect to carry around in purse for touch-ups.

Directions to use:

STEP 1: Shape your brows with the pencil tip of the duo shaper.
STEP 2: Fill in your brows with the brow powder sponge.

My Experience using Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper :

I have naturally thick eyebrows but with a few gaps which need filling up to look even. So I bought the Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper as it gives a natural look perfect for everyday wear. The shade Grey matches my jet black eyebrow hair perfectly.

Now there are two sides to the product. First is a slim twist pencil which you can use to draw the outline of your brows. The pencil is a bit hard which controls the colour payoff to avoid stark black eyebrows.

This results in a natural colour which can be built up to your preferences. I mainly use this part to fill up larger gaps in the eyebrow which powder doesn’t cover up and needs more pigment to blend with my natural brow hairs.

The second side has a sponge applicator and powder(which lies in the cap). The colour payoff is lighter than the pencil and can be used all over the eyebrows for a seamless look.

The sponge glides smoothly on the skin and gives a soft natural finish. I use it blend out any harsh lines visible from pencil and fill in sparse areas especially on the inner corner of the eyebrow where you need very light handed application.

The colour stays usually for about 7-8 hours and is water resistant but not smudge-proof or water-proof. Overall, I am happy with it and have already repurchased it.

It is great for everyday wear. If you have naturally full eyebrows but just need a product for special occasions, the Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper will definitely fulfill your needs.

The grey shade will suit most Indian skin tones. But if have lighter eyebrow hair, you can try the Brown shade. as well
