We all know how mud masks are beneficial for oily skin. Today’s review is one such mask called Skincare Villa Coffee Mud Mask. Mud masks detoxify the skin by pulling out impurities and excess sebum from the skin.
Price: Rs.180 for 30 grams
Availability: Skincare Villa Instagram Page
Shelf life: 6 months
About the product:
The mask comes in a transparent plastic jar with black screw-top lid. The product is in powder form and has to be mixed with water prior to usage. It has a nice coffee aroma to it.
Ingredients:
Kaolin clay, Bentonite clay, Rhassoul clay, Organic coffee powder.

Directions to use:
Apply a thin layer of this face pack mixed with plain water. Let it dry naturally. Splash cold water and gradually remove face pack. Do not rub harshly.
My Experience:
This Mud Mask contains kaolin, bentonite and rhassoul clay- all beneficial in removing excess oil and impurities. The coffee powder is slightly coarse which gives a mild scrubbing action.
I used about half spoonful of the mask and mixed it with rose water. Once in contact with water, you can notice the coffee powder distinctively due to dark brown colour. The coffee aroma is pleasant and not overpowering at all. The mask is easy to apply and wash off. I used it twice a week for 15 minutes and it removed all excess oil from the skin.
But unlike other face masks, this does not dry out the skin but leaves it really soft and supple. This will be useful during winters when my favourite Multani mitti face pack is too drying. It will suit combination skin well due to this non-drying factor. Overall, I am satisfied with this face mask.
