Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder Review

A few months ago, I discovered Shesha Ayurveda, yet another homegrown beauty brand in India that creates some amazing skincare formulations. After going through their product range, I made up my mind to try the Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder.

If you are my regular reader, you already know how much I adore powder cleansers for their ability to cleanse my skin without drying it out my skin. So when I saw the reviews on Tejaswini face wash powder, I had to try it myself too.

I have been using it for almost a month and here is my detailed review to help you decide whether to buy it or not.

A mild, everyday soap-free facial cleanser that gently cleanses and exfoliates to reveal radiant, fresh and healthy skin.

About the Product:

The facewash powder has a grainy texture and has a faint herbal aroma. It stored in a plastic jar along with a cute potli bag. 

Ingredients:

Almond, Green Gram, Bengal Gram, Organic Rose Petals, Aloe Vera, Orange Peel, Avarampoo, Hibiscus, Wild Turmeric Powder

Directions to Use:

Take the required quantity of Shesha Naturals Tejaswini Daily Face Wash Powder and mix it with water to make it a paste. Apply this paste all over the face and neck and massage it in circular motions for about 15 to 20 seconds. Wash off using normal water

My Experience Using Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash Powder :

The face wash powder is made with powdered almond, gram flours and some skin-loving herbs like aloe, turmeric, orange peel and hibiscus. The gram flours help cleanse and exfoliate while the herbs help brighten and nourish the skin.

While most powder cleansers double up as mild exfoliators, the Shesha Ayurveda Tejaswini Face Wash powder is a proper exfoliating cleanser. So if you use this every day, you probably won’t need a separate physical scrub in your routine.

The powder cleanser has a gritty texture yet is not too harsh on the skin. I take about ½ tsp quantity in my palms and mix it with water to form a paste.

I then massage it on face gently for about 20-30 seconds and rinse it off with water.

Due to its exfoliating nature, it gives a polished effect to the skin after using it daily for more than a week. I can’t it use on days when I have active acne bumps though since it can puncture those pimples.

But other than that, this works wonderfully as a daily powder cleanser. It cleanses well, doesn’t dry out the skin and helps soften skin too. You can even use it with curd if you want to use it as a face mask too.

It obviously, will not remove makeup or too much grease, but it is an ideal face wash powder for your everyday routine that can work for all skin types. Just make sure not to be too harsh while massaging it into the skin and you will be good to go.

This is a good powder cleanser for daily use and a great choice if you tend to forget exfoliating your skin or just want to simplify your beauty routine to the bare minimum.
