Ever since I started a skincare regimen for my oily skin, the biggest challenge has been finding the perfect moisturizer. Without a moisturizer, my skin becomes greasy and shiny within an hour of washing my face. So over the years, I have read several blogs in hopes of finding a product that will keep my face matte and is affordable too. And almost every blog listed the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 15 as the best moisturizer so I decided to finally give it a try.
We are all familiar with the numerous benefits of aloe vera on skin and hair. But I also thought it wouldn’t suffice my oily skin needs. But while I was looking for a good night cream, I found some people were using aloe vera at night for oily skin and saw some great results so I decided to try it too. I am currently using Bon organics Aloe vera gel and here’s my complete experience.
I have always had thick long hair without any hairfall issues since childhood, thanks to regular oil champis my mom used to do every Sunday night. But when I entered college I started blow drying and ironing and did not oil my hair anymore. And within a year my hair became a dry frizzy mess. I started oiling again and switched to Tresemme climate control shampoo and conditioner and within months my hair was back to its original state (or so I thought due to the silicone effect).
I am not really a follower of beauty or fashion trends. So while the world was going crazy with sheet masks and the 10 step K-beauty skincare, I stood loyal to my homemade face packs for the great wonders it has done to my skin. Then one day I read an article about the Clean Beauty trend taking over the beauty industry in the west and a little research later, I was convinced to replace my most trusted products for good.
CTM is the basic step in every skincare routine. I have read about it a thousand times yet never followed through. I just thought toners were a thing of the past and with all these advanced facewashes we have, a complete unnecessity. After various futile attempts at controlling oiliness, I thought maybe this step is what’s missing from my routine. I went ahead and purchased Bonsoul Witch Hazel distillate since I heard witch hazel is good for oily skin and here’s my experience after using it for over a month now.
For all the oily-skinned beauties, summers are quite the dreaded season. Summers and breakouts go hand in hand for me. It is just the beginning of summer and my skin has already started misbehaving. I just recovered from a bout of breakouts and will have to be on alert for the next few months trying to keep my skin oil-free. Taking care of oily skin during summers can be tricky but it’s not impossible to avoid breakouts. A little extra care and attention and you will enjoy the sunny days. Here is a list of summer skincare products to help you keep shine and pimples away.
A good base is essential for flawless foundation application’-This is something I always knew yet never followed until 6 months ago and Boy! I was impressed. Initially, I used to apply aloe vera gel as a base and although it helped the foundation go on smoothly, it did not help the foundation to stay longer. Hence I decided to buy a makeup primer and purchased Pac Zero Pore Separation Cream in the shade 02 since I heard good reviews about PAC Primers.
I have never bought dry shampoos before and always used to dust some talc powder for that emergency circumstances. I was browsing the Bon organics Instagram page when I found this organic dry shampoo and decided to give it a try.
