Step 1- Oil Massage
Start by choosing a hair oil according to your hair type. You can go for light oils like almond or grapeseed if you have an oily scalp, argan oil if you have dry and damaged hair, and so on.
During this lockdown, pretty much any hair oil that you have at home would do the deal. Even coconut oil works! Just make sure to stick to the required quantity, as applying too much oil will require more shampoo to take it off and result in dry hair.
Warm up the oil in the microwave for about 30 seconds before applying it to your scalp and hair lengths.
Detangle your hair and massage the oil really well focusing on the roots of your hair. Leave the oil on your hair for about 30-45 mins.
Step 2- Hot Towel Steaming
Take a bowl of hot water and dip a towel into it. Squeeze out any excess water and wrap the towel on your hair after oiling it.
This will result in a steaming effect and will help the oil seep into your tresses even better. Steaming is an essential step as it also encourages hair growth by improving blood circulation in your scalp.
